Outline Itinerary: Day 1: Arrive Tbilisi. Day 2: Excursion in Mtskheta. Continue to Kutaisi and visit the sites including Gelati Temple. Overnight in Kutaisi. Day 3: Drive to Svaneti. We reach Mestia, provincial centre of Svaneti. Mestia is surrounded by huge Caucasian mountains Ushba (4710m) and Tetnuldi (4975m) – some of the most severe and beautiful summits of the Caucasus. Day 4: Explore Mestia and surroundings. Day 5: Drive to village Ushguli. Visit the village, its medieval towers, Lamaria Church and enjoy the views of Mt. Shkhara (5201m). Return to Mestia. Day 6: Trip back to Tbilisi. Day 7: City tour of Tbilisi. Day 8: End of the tour. |
