Outline Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Tbilisil. Day 2: Full day city tour of Tbilisi. Day 3: Excursion to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia. Trip to Gori. Excursion to Uplistsikhe cave-twon. Night in Kutaisi. Day 4: In Kutaisi visit Bagrati and Gelati Cathedrals. On the way to Tbilisi visit Ubisi church. Drive to Bakuriani nestled in the Mountains of the Lesser Caucasus. Night in Bakuriani. Day 5: Excursion to Vardzia cave-monastery. On the way back to Bakuriani stop at Khertvisi fortress. Night in Bakuriani. Day 6: Trip along the Georgian Military Highway. On the road stop at Ananuri Fortress. Overnight in Gudauri. Day 7: Explore Kazbegi and enjoy wonderful views of the Caucasian Mountains, including Mt. Kazbek, 5047m. Night in Tbilisi. Day 8: Excursion to David Gareji Monastery. Walk up to Udabno Monastery, known for its unique frescos. Night in Telavi. Day 9:  Excursions in Kakheti: The Palace and museum of King Erekle II in Telavi. Visit Alaverdi Cathedral, Ikalto Academy, and a winery. On the way to Tbilisi visit Ninotsminda church. Night in Tbilisi. Day 10: End of the tour.
